Studio Pichler is a small creative consultancy and boutique design studio based in Cologne, Germany. We work for clients in both the cultural and commercial fields. As professional in-betweeners our work covers the fields of identity, print, image, motion, digital and environmental.

Our clients are, for instance, Museum Ludwig, Museum Folkwang, Kunstmuseen Krefeld, Gesellschaft für Moderne Kunst, International Society of the Museum Ludwig, Art Cologne, Zentralarchiv für deutsche und internationale Kunstmarktforschung ZADIK, Verlag der Buchhandlung Walther König, Nevin Aladağ, Scentcommunication, Julia Stoschek Collection and Studio Eric Degenhardt. Furthermore, we work on joint projects with Studio von Monkiewitsch, Andreas Muxel, Tim Rodenbröker and Nonot Studio.

Prof. Michael Pichler started his design career as a designer at kognito gestaltung in Berlin as well as at DMC Group and Büro X Design in Vienna. He gained further experience as a research assistant at the University of Applied Sciences in Vorarlberg, Austria. From 2005 to 2013, he was art and creative director at Meiré und Meiré in Cologne, Germany. Highlights of this time at Meiré und Meiré include, among others, work for bulthaup, Rimowa, Lanserhof, Meiré und Meiré, the creative direction for the re-design of the Swiss newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung and managing the overall communication of the Dornbracht luxury brand in the role as creative director. In the winter term of 2013 Michael Pichler was appointed Professor of Communication Design at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences. Beside his main activity as a Professor of Communication Design in the degree programmes Information and Communication Design B.A., as well as Design and Interaction M.A. (previously Digital Media M.A.), he works as a creative consultant and designer.
